This post is specifically for B.E. undergrads (Computer branch specific) of Mumbai University, wishing to apply for TCS Campus placement.
Follow these steps:
1. You may be facing accessing the NextStep website, specially Chrome users. So, better go to the address bar of your browser and type: https://nextstep.tcs.com
Chrome may display a security check page. Just click on 'proceed anyway' tab.
2. On the homepage, click on '2012 & above' tab.
3. Click on 'New Candidate' tab and then on 'Campus Applicants' tab.
4. Select your institute. You can type the name of your institute to filter among the options. Once you find your Institute's name, select it and click on 'Submit'.
5. Click on 'Technical Under Graduate'.
6. Select 1st two options in the Area of Interest field.
7. Enter all your personal details like Name, DOB, Gender, etc.
8. Under 'Academic details' section, Click on 'Graduate' tab. A new window will
appear. In that, select 'Bachelor of Engineering' for course name and major subject as 'Computer Engineering'.
9. For duration, the format is dd/mm/yyyy. So pls. enter proper day, month and year. If you don't remember the exact day, then enter any arbitary day of that month (It really doesn't matter). For end date, enter the month as June and Year as 2013.
10. Under Marks obtained, enter the total marks obtained till Sem6. And total marks is 5000. Aggregate percentage will be automatically calculated.
11.Course type: Full time. Click on Save and proceed.

For 12th students,
12. Enter course name as 'HSC' under 11th and 12th fields. (If you are from any board other than Maharashtra, then enter the course name accordingly).
13. For the duration part, apply same logic as you have done for filling Graduate section.
14. Enter your institute name in the University/Institute column and major subjects as 'Physics Chemistry Maths'

For Diploma students,
12. Enter course name (i don't know your course name).
13. For the duration part, apply same logic as you have done for filling Graduate section.
14. Enter your institute name in the University/Institute column and enter your respective major subjects.

15. Proceed further and fill all the other details appropriately.
16. Click on 'I agree' and click on submit.
17. You'll get a mail on the id that you had specified which will contain your TCS id and password.
18. Login with those info and apply for TCS campus drive. (You'll notice a ''tab on your left).
19. Now proceed to complete your application form. Click on Application form.
20. Enter all personal details and other details.
21. Upload your CV and recent passport size photo (formal attire with white or off-white background). Size of both the files should be within 500 KB each.
22. Accept the declaration and download the completed form. Take its printout and carry it on 20th September along with your passport size photos and support documents (original).
